I'm Gareth.
I Build The Software.
There's no agency behind this and no account manager in the middle. The person you email is the person writing your code.
I build bespoke software from Wexford for businesses across Ireland — web platforms, iOS apps, and increasingly the AI that sits underneath them.
I started Onliware because I kept meeting local businesses who'd been charged agency money for bloated platforms they never actually owned. They weren't investing in a digital asset. They were renting one, and the rent never stopped.
So I do the opposite. You talk to me directly, start to finish. You get the source code, the credentials and the documentation. If you decide to take it elsewhere in two years, nothing is stopping you — and knowing that is exactly what keeps me honest.
I don't build websites. I build the thing your business runs on.
The Journey
Went Out On My Own
Started Onliware in Wexford, with one idea: replace overpriced agency work with honest engineering.
First Major Deployment
The Fleadh Cheoil PWA served 500K+ users across five festival days. ConciergeX replaced a legacy hotel management system outright.
Products, Not Just Projects
Shipped PropertyPack, SiteSight and ComplianceKit — three Irish data platforms taken from first idea to live product.
Working Across Ireland
Engineering digital infrastructure for businesses in every county in the country, still as one person.
On-Device AI, On The App Store
Shipped Cairn and Lá Maith to the App Store. Cairn runs entirely on Apple’s on-device intelligence — not a word leaves the phone. AI became a service in its own right.
What I Stand For
Transparency & Ownership
You own every line of code I write. No lock-in, no hidden dependencies, no recurring platform fees. Your software is your asset, not my rental income.
Quality Over Volume
I take on fewer projects than I could, on purpose. I'd rather build one thing properly than ten things badly — and with one pair of hands, that isn't a slogan, it's arithmetic.
Direct Access
No account managers, no juniors, no handover. The person you email is the person writing your code, and there is only one of me.
