The Challenge
Ireland's planning application data is fragmented across 31 individual local authority websites, each with different formats and search interfaces. Construction professionals—builders, architects, estate agents—had to manually check each council site to find new project opportunities, wasting hours every week on repetitive searches.
The Execution
We engineered a data pipeline that scrapes, normalises, and indexes planning applications from every local authority in Ireland on a daily basis. Users can search across all 31 councils simultaneously, filter by status, location, and type, and set up real-time email alerts for new applications matching their criteria. Map integration provides spatial context, turning raw planning data into actionable business intelligence.
