Most journaling apps sync your most private writing to someone else’s servers. Cairn set out to prove you can have intelligent reflection — mood, recurring people, the things you keep returning to — without a single word ever leaving your iPhone.
Everything on-device, by design
A native SwiftUI app built on Apple’s Foundation Models framework — a language model that runs entirely on your iPhone in iOS 26, reading each entry locally with no cloud round-trip. No servers, no accounts, no analytics, no ads. An Apple Watch companion plus Home- and Lock-Screen widgets capture a thought from anywhere, still fully on-device.
