Privacy Policy

What stays on your device only

Everything you create in the app stays on your device:

• ●Your puzzle progress and daily streak
• ●Your saved words and MyWords list
• ●Your Pintín bond, meters, and unlocked letters
• ●Your reminder time, theme, and other settings

We do not have a server. We do not see this information.

What our payment provider sees

We use RevenueCat (revenuecat.com) to handle subscriptions and in-app purchases. When you make a purchase, RevenueCat receives:

• ●A randomly-generated anonymous app user ID (not linked to your name)
• ●Your purchase history
• ●Basic device information needed to validate your purchase

This is used solely to manage your subscription status — for example, to know that you're entitled to Premium when you reinstall the app. RevenueCat does not sell this data. See their policy at https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy.

What Apple sees

Standard Apple App Store transactions are processed by Apple. We never see your payment details.

Notifications

If you enable Daily Reminder, your device schedules a local notification. This happens entirely on your device — no server is involved.

Speech

The pronunciation playback uses Apple's on-device speech synthesiser (the system 'ga-IE' voice when available, otherwise the default). No audio leaves your device.

Tracking

Focail does not use any analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. We do not track you across apps or websites.

Children

Focail is designed for kid-friendly Gaeilge learning and is rated 4+. We do not knowingly collect any data from anyone.
